Soft scrub review and give away!

Alright everyone, time for another give away!

Having the right cleaning supplies in your stockpile is very important. It helps you spend less on expensive brand names, keeps you home means less gas spent, and it's important to keep things clean for peace of mind and safety.

I tried it out on my sink today. I have to say it is runnier than I expected, so be careful. I squirted it all over the sink. But it took out some nasty water stains and goop my kids had dumped in. The sink has not looked this clean since we moved in! Other products tend to leave streaks.

This is one of the best products I have used on my sink in a very long time. However, it was a little strange. I tried it out on the bath tub and it took two scrubbing sessions to remove a water ring, but it is still lingering. So pretty tough on most stains, but the water ring was a little bit much for it. I think one more round should get it all the way gone, but for the price I won't complain. It's still a product that is fairly cheap compared to most brands, and it worked very well for just about everything I threw at it. Even the bath crayon that stained the side of the tub months ago.

All in all a good product for the money.
I am happy to say I will be keeping a few bottles around for my sink especially.

So who would like to add this to your stockpile for free?! Leave a comment and I will choose a winner, or winners, in 4 days. Let's get more entries so I can give more away!!!

Nice and sparkly with just a light ring left. Maybe if I leave it to soak next time it will do better. Plus I have super sensitive skin, and when I leaned my arm in it, no reaction. So if you have sensitive skin, this is a great product for you.

I got a chance to try out Soft scrub from Purex insiders. In no way are they affiliated with me and they did not influence my review. They sent me a sample and coupons to give out.

  1. We love Soft Scrub! It's good for sinks especially but like your tub, the water ring in ours took a few scrubs to get it completely gone! Plus, it's always important to have good cleaning supplies around :)

  3. I have eliminated most (expensive!)cleaners from my home by using liquid castille soap (miracle stuff, I swear), vinegar and baking soda. I use a dilute castille solution for greasy, grunge and a vinegar solution for shine. I'm amazed how well it works. I even use the baking soda for a facial scrub.

And you will spend only pennies. Probably even less than you would getting the other stuff with a coupon!

  4. One more note - I noticed you seem to do a bit of couponing. While couponing can be immensely useful in building up your stockpile, I would caution against too many household products. Focus on food stuffs and pantry goods. Household cleaners and personal care items are indeed pricey but they are also bulky. If you can stock up on simple products that are multi-use (white vinegar, I'm looking at you) it will leave you more room for those big buckets of grains.

Bravo for beginning a blog on your journey! I love to share my experiments and projects and enjoy reading about others' even more. Good luck and keep going!
