Puffs Fresh Faces

Good morning everyone! As a few of you know, I am your local Boogie wipes/Saline ambassador. This means that the company sends me products, full sized and samples, to try and hand out. I am a very big supporter of the Boogie wipes brand. We were sick just a few weeks ago, and my nose cannot handle a regular tissue. So I stopped by Target with a coupon, and picked myself up a pack of boogie wipes.

Nothing soothes my nose like a natural saline wipe. Now we use Boogie wipes for a lot more than just noses and being sick. They work great for just about anything a wipe works for, but more gentle. Sticky hands and faces, allergies, dry noses. You name it, Boogie wipes help.

Now I am excited that Little Busy Bodies (Boogie wipes brand) has teamed up with Proctor and Gamble to bring us adults Puffs Fresh Faces! This is a product very similar to Boogie wipes, but there is so much more! I just used one of the wipes to remove some make up I had left over from last night, and boy, did it take it off easy and gentle. My face really did feel fresh.

I can't wait to try the other ones, especially the face and nose wipes with vicks.

"When we first developed Boogie Wipes in 2007, we knew saline worked wonders when it came to cleaning and soothing stuffy noses. We also knew saline had positive effects on the skin and ultimately wanted to tap into that knowledge when the time was right," said Julie Pickens, CEO of Little Busy Bodies, LLC. "Our partnership with P&G has really allowed us to build on the technology behind the use of saline for personal care and to realize our goal of taking moist saline wipes to the next level."

I am personally very excited, as this means there are more options available for adults and children alike.

When it comes to our personal journey to Urban Homesteading, meaning being a little more self sufficient, this doesn't mean we have to give up our luxuries. For me, saline wipes are a must to keep around the house. I will be stocking up a few for the winter especially as the cold and flu season will be much easier with a little extra help from soothing saline.

Need another reason to celebrate? How about a chance to win a trip to the spa from Puffs fresh faces? How about a 2 night, 3 day trip for two, with your choice of spa services?! Enter here for your chance!

Been behind lately

So how is everyone doing? I started this blog thinking I would write all the time, then pregnancy came along. I have been slacking.

Touching on urban homesteading, what does this mean to you? I believe personally it means relying less on things like grocery stores, being prepared for emergencies, and having a plan.

Things like toilet paper, paper towels, and other paper products, you can stockpile at rock bottom prices (use coupons too) to build a stock and not have to leave the house so often, therefore cutting some of the reliance on stores. If there is a power outage, or can't get to the store, will you be okay?

Just having a few extra items on hand can save you from the stress of having to do without.

With me right now, having extra items like diapers and wipes, can save me from having to run to the store in this heat. Being pregnant, I don't deal well with the heat at all. If I can avoid a trip to the store, I will take the opportunity.

Soft scrub review and give away!

Alright everyone, time for another give away!

Having the right cleaning supplies in your stockpile is very important. It helps you spend less on expensive brand names, keeps you home means less gas spent, and it's important to keep things clean for peace of mind and safety.

I tried it out on my sink today. I have to say it is runnier than I expected, so be careful. I squirted it all over the sink. But it took out some nasty water stains and goop my kids had dumped in. The sink has not looked this clean since we moved in! Other products tend to leave streaks.

This is one of the best products I have used on my sink in a very long time. However, it was a little strange. I tried it out on the bath tub and it took two scrubbing sessions to remove a water ring, but it is still lingering. So pretty tough on most stains, but the water ring was a little bit much for it. I think one more round should get it all the way gone, but for the price I won't complain. It's still a product that is fairly cheap compared to most brands, and it worked very well for just about everything I threw at it. Even the bath crayon that stained the side of the tub months ago.

All in all a good product for the money.
I am happy to say I will be keeping a few bottles around for my sink especially.

So who would like to add this to your stockpile for free?! Leave a comment and I will choose a winner, or winners, in 4 days. Let's get more entries so I can give more away!!!

Nice and sparkly with just a light ring left. Maybe if I leave it to soak next time it will do better. Plus I have super sensitive skin, and when I leaned my arm in it, no reaction. So if you have sensitive skin, this is a great product for you.

I got a chance to try out Soft scrub from Purex insiders. In no way are they affiliated with me and they did not influence my review. They sent me a sample and coupons to give out.

So we talk about stocking up on here a lot, and people immediately think of food. But what about toiletries?

Here is a little something to get you started on your own stockpile. Remember to keep a 3 month supply on hand in case of emergency, job loss, weather......whatever the reason.

So I got to try out new Dry Idea advanced dry thanks to Purex insiders.

I got home and tried it on. It's late in the evening and I still smell great. It's true to it's name as I'm still dry even after running after the kids for hours. So who would love to try this out too? Add it to your stockpile for free. This is the perfect product to keep in your purse, in the car, or at the house. Keep it in the cupboard so you don't run out. Keeping extra items ensures you will never have to run out in a storm and never worry about price increases as you will have a chance to watch for a good deal. No last minute paying full price.
Purex insiders sent me a free product to try and review, but opinions expressed here are my own. This is in now way sponsored. These coupons are to let some of you try it out for yourself.
